Building Your Empire
The links for you to download my personal Empire Charts have been emailed to you with the subject “Sandy’s Empire Chart Links” but watch the video first so you’ll know what to do when you get them.
In this training video I interview Simla Somturk Wickless, MBA CHC and Chief Eating Officer Delicious Health about how she cleared the “traffic jam” in her head. I also show you how to start YOUR Empire Chart.

Many thanks. Yet yet another impressive piece of content, this is exactly the key reason why my partner and I come to your blog page over and over again!
TATUM
Hey there! Great thought, but will this truly operate?
LORRIANE
I really enjoyed the tips with Lance Hood tonight.
Thank you SO much for your videos and authentically shared ideas and personality and vision. Extremely helpful! When I saw the words “empire chart” on the page my whole body started tingling with excitement. Can’t wait to get it all down on paper and out of my overcluttered brain. Cheers!
Sandy,
Thank you for sharing your unique essence and contributing your magnificence through all your inspirational work. I am so inspired to step fully into my essence so that others will do the same.
Blessings,
Tracy
Thanks Sandy – I actually did this early last year when I saw a video on CCOR about it – I’m off to dig out that old one and add to it, because i KNOW there is a LOT to add!!!
Love
Donna.xxxx
Hey Donna!
I don’t remember that video… but cool, did I make it?
oh, wait, was it the vision board video? that’s was fun!
Laura & I making vision boards & shopping at Office Depot!
hahaha.
xoxoxo
Hmm. It was definitely you cos I remember you showing a bit of it – it might have been when you were telling us about the fabulous formula? Maybe not on CCOR at all?!?! Memory malfunction!!!! but yes, that video was funny…and inspired me to go haring off to my local craft store!! Hmm…I still have an unused board around somewhere…xx
Sandy – just heard about your work through Metromom and am looking forward to the upcoming virtual cocktail. This empire chart? It’s what I’ve been doing for myself for years. Once i realized that I needed to honor my visual orientation and work with it, I started flow charting. I like the tip about shading in the parts that are already manifesting and the others that are just ideas. Very nice, thanx.
Hi Monica,
Awesome! I didn’t realize how “visual” I was until I did my empire chart. It helped SOOOO much!
Did you see Kim’s video? I just posted it this morning….
“Putting It All Together”
Let me know what you think!
Kim rocks.
xoxoxo
Wow! You really are Faabulous! I turned up my nose when you first talked about the Flow Chart, but I started one and am embracing it! Brilliant! I never even realized I had an empire, but I do! And the ideas that have been half-assed floating around in my head, when put on paper really rock! I am looking forward to learning more. Many thanks and blessings!
Thank you Celene,
I know, my brain was saying “no! no! no!” when I made my 1st empire chart, my brain doesn’t work that way… but once I got it all down on paper, it was amazing.
I’m looking forward to seeing your half-assed ideas come to light!
xoxoxo
You have a good site. Looks like you have put in a huge amount of work on it. Here is one of my favorite websites. Flameless Candle Warmer
My beautiful friend Sandy…Thank you for so graciously creating magnificent products and programs and for so passionately showing up for everyone that encounters your fabulous greatness. The empire chart rocks. I love the way you have mapped everything out under one umbrella. I adore you and you radiate in your fabulousness…XOXOXO
Ok – My chart has been done and it’s pretty. I color coded the things that make me money, the projects I have “out there” that don’t make me money, the projects that are being worked on right now and left the dreams white. As if that wasn’t eye opening enough, I put big red circles around the things that make me smile – you know, those items that resonate with who I am.
Guess what? None of the red circles were colored in! Crud…….. I never knew how much I trend towards safe things that are ’sure’ income makers rather than passionate things that have no clear direction. This was a visual ‘aha’ moment!!!!
Now Sandy – what do I do with the information?
Well Stacy-licious….
You know I’m not going to tell you what to do, right?
What great information!
First, I think it’s cool that you have focused on “’sure’ income makers”, lots of peeps never focus on the thing that makes a business a true business [making Money]! So congratulations!
I would tell you to start looking at those big red circles and see which ones feel the most exciting to you… don’t throw out all of those money-makers, but try to bring in some of the passionate projects.
I’m a big believe that the power is in the noticing…. I have a feeling a fun, passionate opportunity is on it’s way to you now. Just watch! Keep me posted!
xoxoo
HaaHaaa!!! I knew you wouldn’t give me the answer but you can’t blame a girl for trying to get someone else to “fill in the blank”
However your council of not tossing it all and moving onto another path that is more fun is valid. It’s a point I need to hear (and my husband will give a sigh of relief for).
Observing my Empire this way really gave me a major ‘Aha” as to why I feel like I’m not really where I want to be and I’m looking forward coloring in some of those red boxes now.
Thank you so much!!! You’re such a Rock Star~!
Sandy, this is such a great exercise! You have such a cute way about you. So, let me know when you start making those hot mogul shoes because I am totally going to buy some! I have some friends who make cute/hot shoes for brides, maybe you can talk to them and see how they got started? I would be happy to make an introduction (once your launch is complete!) so you can get some colored boxes going on the right side of your empire chart.
Thanks again for a great video and a really cool way to cure that entrepreneurial confusion (aka: potentialitis) that many of us suffer from! You rock, sista.
Thank you Dahhhling,
And I’m going to be calling you about my screenplay too!
Let’s do a movie and women & shoes! okay?
mmwwaahh!
I think you rock.
xoxo
Hi Sandy,
I love how you easily took everything in your head and put it into your empire chart. I’ve been adding news things onto my current business and this seems to be what I’m missing. Thanks for all that you do and I so love your energy! Now onto creating my empire chart
I still remember when you showed your chart to the group in Vegas. I should have made mine then, but I guess I wasn’t sure where to start. This video just really broke it down for me. Thanks!
Jennifer
I can’t wait to see your chart!
I love what you are doing, dahhhling!
Let me know how I can support you!
xoxo
Sandy
Sandy…Thank you for presenting a clear way to get our ideas down and out of our heads. I’ve done Mind Mapping before but this just hit me the right way. I have post-its notes everywhere with my ideas but now I can have an organized place to put everything. This is going to be today’s project…make a vision board with my chart. Know I will sleep easier tonight knowing I don’t have to keep track of it all! Thanks!
Yay! Kerry- I’m soooo glad.
Sleep well my friend! So happy you liked it!
xoxoxo
Hey Sandy,
I had sound until 18:40-28:30. I could see what you were doing on you r computer with your chart but could not hear anything. The sound came back at the very end. Was that on purpose?
Another great one!
Becky-
no! you were supposed to hear sound the whole time!
I just checked it and it seems to be working for me.
try again??
maybe the mute button got pushed accidentally.
let me know if you have problems again and we’ll re-check it on our end.
mmwwaahh!
xoxo
Just a thought – I was listening on headphones, and at one point, the sound was only coming through one headphone – that might explain why it went silent. As to how you get the sound though. Um – headphones? xx
I haven’t read it yet, nor even watched the video, but I’m already nodding my head at your comment “traffic jam in her head”. Oh boy can I relate to that! All day, all night, and there’s frequent collisions, so I’m looking forward to checking this out.
Ha! ha!
CJ-I hope you got a chance to watch the video!
and watch out for those collisions!
Let me know what you think!
xoxoxo
Hi Sandy…..I first came into contact with your work on CCOR and then using your Journalution book, which has been outstanding for me. I use a graphic package called iMindMap, which is also a visual tool. I will see how it works for the Empire building you recommend. Thanks for your energy! Matt
Hey Matt!
So glad you checked out the video-let me know how the iMindMap works!
have fun.
xoxoxo
Hello my lovely friend!
We truly are twins;-) Mind mapping and I go waayyyyy back (in my former life as a middle school LS teacher!) Free Mind is great…post-its work fabulously too…you hit upon a critical key when you said it is whatever WORKS for YOU…tools and strategies are just that…you must make them work for your particular learning style and personality.
I love post its myself…I can move them around, change them, color code them…I have one wall of my office that is Danielle’s Post It Brain Dump:-)
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your vision board! Hoping everyone who looked at it noticed that you put yourself in the pic;-) again another crucial piece to making it work…
Mmmmwwwwaaa…You ROCK!
Hey Gorgeous
Just more fabulousness from you. Of course – hot mogul shoes you know Im up for a good shoe!!!
Heading to US in march if you are anywhere near LA at that tie would love to catch up with you.
Love & Success
Terri
would LOVE to see you!
I might be going to a script writing class in LA in March… will keep you posted!
xoxoxo
Danielle-Dahhhling,
loved your comment! Thanks so much for watching..
So happy to have connected with you my Soul Sistaaaah.
Thanks for this- I loved it when i did this w/you and i have not looked at it in a while-
i am inspired to revisit and expand it too! This is such a powerful process!
It’s like a bigger version of my vision board as it is a great place to park all of that traffic and gives more band width for other things
ok off to update my empire chart!
Yay Karen!
Can’t wait to see the new & updated Empire Chart!
Great idea Sandy! Thank you.
And I love your inspirational style!
Wishing you the best.
Warmly,
Kirin
Kirin,
Thank you Dahhhhling!
so glad you liked it. Lots more fun stuff coming.
xoxoxo
Fabulous Miss Sandy…as always! I LOVED seeing your actual chart and am further inspired to actually take the plunge. I so loved the commentary about the “traffic jam in the head.”
So enjoyed your presentation at Yoovolution…such wonderful energy and fun spiritedness.
xoxo
Thank YOU Miss Gina-licious
So glad you liked the video.
And thanks for the Yoovolution props-that was SO much fun!
Sandy-
So glad that all the focused work you did with us with BrandU in the Power Path and Brand Power programs to develop your beautiful empire is enabling you to help so many women. What’s great is that you can so speak from the experience that entrepreneurs really experience going through the detailed part of building a real business, because you really went through that with us. Building a business is not always easy but when you have real knowledge, engaging support, and you allow your true passion to continuously fuel you…you can make ANYTHING happen…and do it fabulously!
BTW: Thanks for the BrandU.com props!
Thanks Kim!
and thank YOU for all of your incredible work.
you rock.
xoxox
Thanks for that Sandy!
I’ve heard of mind mapping of some sort but never really looked into it properly till now! You broke it down very simply and I can’t wait to start mine now!
Thanks again Sandy!
x
Awesome Isabel!
Thanks for your comments-so glad you liked it.
xoxo
The situation that Simla speaks of up front about having all of these great ideas and being in launching / perfection overload sounds exactly like what goes through my head every day. Traffic jam! I’m afraid the huge hesitation of putting it on paper is that most of my chart will be white at first but I can’t WAIT to color the boxes in
Thank you so much for sharing!
Stacy-
I totally relate, it’s my Virgo perfectionism that kept me stuck for a long, long time. I love the way Simla described it “traffic jam in my head”- it’s so easy to get stuck when you have so many great ideas!
Can’t wait to see your faaabulous empire chart.
xoxoxo
The Virgo part of me really gets the need to put it all down and classify and organize it and that I love! But I tell you Sandy, this is a VERY uncomfortable process…
Thanks Sandy for the video! I had also tried mind mapping at one time, but who knows where it is now. I will begin working on my empire chart today and let you know tomorrow how it is going. I can see how it will free me up because my thoughts will be down on paper. XXOO
Yay Phyllis!
I can’t wait to see your chart-it’s been so helpful for me to have a place to capture all of those great ideas & inspirations!
Remember, you can’t do this wrong.
xoxoxo
Hi Sandy, Thanks for sharing! I had actually started doing just that by way mind mapping with a free software called Free Mind. Only thing is that I lost focus and months later it’s still unfinished and stored somewhere on my pc. You definately inspired me to get going on creating my chart. I’m really interested in learning more about branding. Hope that you can give me a few tips!
Thanks!
Alba
Hi Alba,
I’ve used FreeMind, i love their butterfly logo
Print it out and hang it near your desk, as you get new ideas, jot them down on your chart…
It definitely helps to keep me focused on what’s most important right now.
I have another great video coming up-stay tuned!
xoxo
You are the best, Sandy! Your Empire Chart is something I really needed to see today. I have so many ideas and have tried organizing them in some fashion….but your chart made it all click. Your creativity and generosity astounds and abounds! I actually journal freely for the first time in my life because of you too.
Madame Soybean!
How wonderful! Thank you so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it!
I’m so glad you are taking action on your inspirations.
mmwwaahh!
xoxoxo
Thanks for this idea! What a wonderful compliment to the vision board and I completely identify with this chart that is “in my head”…I think working on the Empire Chart will help with really seeing all that “stuff” visually.
Did you like those 6-pack abs on the vision board?
I keep thinking I’ll get them by just looking at it everyday. hahaha
I’m very visual too and when I figured out how to make it all ‘pretty’ with the colors, etc then it took on a life of it’s own!
Glad you liked it!
xoxo
